When we drive it's 13 hours door to door and that's not a problem, so you should be OK.

Just think, some transfers take 4+ hours, especially if you have to wait for another flight to arrive before your coach can leave!!

Gloves/Lining Gloves

My son wore mittens when he spent 3 months in Canada last season learning to be an instructor. Temperatures were often below -15. When it is that cold he was advised it was the best option. The theory being that separating out your fingers in gloves they are more likely to get cold; whereas keeping them together in a mitten they help to keep each other warm.

I actually take a foam roller with me and iron out my legs/lower back. This releases tension and eradicates any build up of knots within the muscle, it absolutely kills if you do it correctly but you feel fantastic the day afterwards. Its sort of like giving yourself a sports massage.

Wow and I thought skiing was supposed to be fun

Saucisson

It's air dried and supposed to be a bit chewy but has load of flavour. Best eaten with other stuff.

We do the hot cheese thing (raclette) with new potatoes and a plate of scary meats (including saucisson, mountain ham etc.) and accompanied by silverskin onions and small gherkins.

Always reminds me of the Alps.... sigh
