Been 5 times in january and on the whole we were blessed with good weather and good visability. Not maybe Blue sky skiing, because it can be very cold. So IMO goggles are a must over sunglasses even when it is sunny. Only ever lost half a day due to bad weather and was some freak winds.

Season started! Is it me or is this forum getting quieter every year?

Salven Stadl is a good base camp for Apres and evenings. Live music, good atmosphere and reasonably priced.

We used to use Salven Stadl as a base camp. Good live music, reasonably priced. Central to everything.

There are gondollas link the mountains both ways, probably didnt myself very clear. There was years ago a chair lift that went through a mountain tunnel but that has been replaced by a fast gondolla. There is plenty of good skiing. Of all the Austrian resorts I have been to it is the least busiest with Brits and Irish etc.
