Sadly Holly has gone to the BBC for "the Voice" so we get Mrs Fat Frank Lampard instead (my missus reads OK at the hairdressers - don't hate me!)

Thanks!

Its only nine months away now - by the time I've had skiing, various mountain bike trips and the Olympics it'll be upon me!
Finally got a Jan trip booked

First time to Chambery for me on the 21st so will be interested to here how it goes - jet2 wouldnt be my airline of choice but its what Inghmas have dealt me.

Interesting that peeps say there's nothing in departures; I'd say the same thing about Geneva as I cant afford a 3000Euro watch.....

Some friends went to ADH a couple of years ago via Chambery and got held at the airport for 10 hours. Apparently the French approach to seeing of the runway is ice free is to drive a Clio down there at full tilt and whack the brakes on - if it doesn't skid then its safe to land a flight.....

Ive only ever done it in a TO bus

BUT

Unless you know the road the twisty turny bits out of Moutiers are going to be cautious going no matter what you're in

I'd reckon its 2.5 to 3 depending on the weather

Moutiers deffo has supermarkets:

sounds V sensible to me

All decent resorts with good snow at the moment (as has most of the Alps to be fair)

Ive never done any of them first hand but know peeps who have and La Plagne is somewhere I want to try at some point as Paradiski is supposed to be great.

Whereever you go then I'm sure you will both enjoy it - took the missus (then girlfriend) 7 years ago and she's so hooked that we go every year and she'd even consider giving up the sun rather than the snow if we found ourselves in a one or the other financial situation!

I saw this earlier and did a double take - thought she was hopeful of competing again this year?

I'll watch it for research reasons only...... (ditto Heidi Range.....)
