With hindsight (a wonderful thing), the area around the VE (Peisey etc) would be an ideal base to explore the whole area. Maybe another year.

Never mind Snapzzz, obviously wasn't the right time. I am a big believer in everything happening for a reason. Something better will come along.

Went last year as well Nelly :-)

Found a great chalet with Inghams that is ski in/out (or near as makes no difference) by the old church near the nursery slope so we are going back there this year with a real mixed group!

Thought you went last year. I'll check the Inghams website and have a nosey, you may well see us in 2014 then!

Perhaps you sould try Soll/Ski Welt, it would be a good opportunity to try a new resort/s, just go early season.

Just one other thing, obviously there is some travelling in the Ziller Valley by train/bus, Ski Welt can be skiied without the need for other modes of transport, that's one plus point to consider.
