Mr. Admin:
Like you say it is short but I could watch it all day :!: Really good, Mike  |

Pavel:
The jacket has arrived :!: :!: :!: It was very craftfully wrapped to keep it in the best of shape for transport. Thank you! I have been wondering what I could put together for a suitable avatar for this sight - and for all to see how well this jacket fits and to show my appreciation ... what better avatar might I come up with. Thanks again, Mike  |

Just too good !!! If there is no snow - there is always a way to get a thrill from the skis.
The famous announcement in the tube stations will have to be ammended to .. "Mind the Gap ... and Watch for skiers on the Escalators" :!: The only way to beat this is if there were a video of someone skiing down the roller coaster in Blackpool. |

If this were a Pavel quizz .... I think Bandit would have won it already with the best answer: "be injury free" :!: Not much beats that goal.
I hope to ski more, carve with meaning (while trying to make it look like I know what I'm doing...), wax more often, catch more air, and make it early enough to "the hill" to claim more than my share of "first chairs". Oh yes - to watch for leaks and actually get some pictures of the little devils.... Mike  |

Well imagine my suprise this morning when I checked out my favorite ski site (aka J2SKI) and my last post wasn't there. Ellistine ... when we get older we sometimes forget to press the right buttons. But I'm not using that for my excuse :)
But ellistine the "more experienced", that is the older followers of our J2Ski bantering are jealous of your "youth". I wish I had found skiing 30 years ago. Just imagine the changes you will see in the next 30. Bandit: Thank you for your kind words. However I would NOT have known the OMESOFT ski was any more than an OMES ski you hadn't added the "OFT" and from that we have more detail for interests sake. Thanks! Pavel: Thanks again for another informative and interesting quiz. We learn why we are, where we are from knowing from where we have come. Maybe some day (when I'm famous) someone will use that in a quyptaquote in a newspaper somewhere. Thanks for revealing the inside of the ELAN ski. Now I don't need to cut open my "tuning practice " ELAN skis to see this ribbed structure. I'll be watching for Gary !!! Mike  |

Well, thank you Pavel. :)
And thank you Rossfra8 and Hirsty. The more dapper I look the better - it may make up for a lack of(but developing) skiing skills! Pavel's quizzes always bring on an addiction of sorts. Often I think there is something hidden in plain sight that I can't discover. Then I'm driven to deep thought ..." what could Pavel want us to see...?". Yes Judy may be happy the quizz has concluded ---the leaves need raking now!! But Pavel don't leave this quizz with questions in our minds! I for one need an answer or two. The most curious item is the long ribbed item in the lower right of the picture. I think there is another similar item in the upper right as well. I suggested it may have been a ski skin for climbing up the hills where there was no lift. What is it?? Curious minds need sleep :!: I'll keep an eye out for Gary - our Purolator delivery guy! Thanks again, Mike  |

ellistine: "ein prosit" - "a toast to you"
http://www.einprosit.us/ For one interested in Oktoberfest celebrations this is an often heard song. I always wondered who Ant Prossy was, as that's how it sounded to me. There is always a great Oktoberfest party held in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, on the last weekend of September. This is the first year in about 11 that we couldn't make it. We pass Ski Wentworth on the way there. I hope yours was really good. Mike :P |

Thanks Pavel.
I agree that Bandit was certainly the one that named the OMESOFT ski. Thanks Bandit :!: They also had a ski called OMEGLAS about then as well didn't they?? Maybe that name is a few years newer - not sure. The higher resolution certainly made things clearer Pavel. Mike :-) |
