C'mon Ian, you should be word perfect on N. now! Amanda, to save everyone from Niederau overload, suggest you enter "Niederau" into "search chat" at the page top. If you get less than a couple of thousand responses, I would be most surprised. Look for those responses by myself and Jan I Stenmark, ignore all the ones where I get over-passionate about the place, and you will have pretty well the complete N. picture. Lots of good info by other people too. If you have specific requirements, fire them up, and Ian will be able to answer them, I'm sure! Schneeburger's fine, good food, comortable, edge of the village centre, halfway between the two lifts. I will be taking another couple of weeks there again in March, but I usually take in the season end. I am off there on Friday for two weeks. |

Mark, I have 3g on my laptop, do you have to do anything, such as register prior to going to Austria?
Or does everything work just the same as in the UK? |

Yes, I have a week by myself, in a 6 person apartment! Then my OH, two sons, and daughter-in-law all arrive for the second week. I then have another day or so. It's a shame my wife isn't there at the same time as you and G. No photo required. If ever a photo is required, it's all done by webcam - and pretty grotty pictures they take too. Re lockers, I think that you will find that the Duke of Auhof will take care of all requirements like this ~ you and all the gear will be transported to and from the slope of your choice. Seven days to go. |

I think it costs more than that Ian, at least double. |

I'm really sorry Caron, but as you know, the 18th is an important annual event for me. If it snowed, I would have to go to bed early, and that would be a conflict. On a brighter note, I am assured that the heavy dumps are above 828 metres only, leaving most of the route from Auhof to Innsbruck, clear of all snow and traffic! |

I might host a nice meal in the Kellerwirt in Oberau, along with all the J2Skiers that cared to join us, then all repair to the Bichlwirt, and listen to Herbert playing the Harp.
The following day, a few lazy runs with said fellow J2skiers down the Marbachjoch, stopping for Gluewein, and a view over the Kitzbuhleralps. Then I would give the remaining 49.995 mill to Brucie, for him to spend wisely. |

aye Rose, I can hear the brain popping! They are mountains over 3000 ft. There are around 284 of them in Scotland, Ross will correct me, and named after Sir Hugh Munro, the first person to climb them all. Some of them are easy strolls, some are life-threatening, in the wrong conditions. Actually, I suppose they can all be LT if the conditions are wrong. Mountains over 2,500 ft, (or foothills, as my Austrian friends call them!), are called Corbetts, after John Rooke Corbett. They must have a drop of 500 ft between them to qualify. 221 0f these A mountain over 2000 ft is called a Graham. Min drop between peaks is 150m, and there are 224 of them. There are a lot of other named categories, including "Wainwrights" |

It looks as though coverage is restricted to the Inn valley, and the area around Kitsbuehle. Won't bother taking the laptop then.
I sthere life after J2Ski? |
