Sleeps till ski time

Icy, I made a fairly simple spreadsheet for Ally to use. It takes the date of departure and subtracts the current date to give the number of days left to go. It cannot take into account any facts such as people leaving at 2am on a certain date and thus not getting a sleep on that night. Generally though, the number of days left to go will be the same as the number of sleeps remaining.

Driving is my first choice, but I would far prefer to go by train as the second choice. Maybe it helps that I am very close to the Eurostar starting stations, but it is a very relaxing way to get there if done correctly (namely what you pack for the journey  ).

I can give you his number as well if you think it would help with the Gendarmes

TBH if you are likely to drive in France again, I would suggest that it is worth getting some if you can find them. I am pretty sure that when I went to Spa earlier in the year, the ferry had some in the shop. Don't forget your hi-vis jackets as well, and all the other stuff the French require.

The AA seem to back up OA though regarding the delay. AA Website
Val Thorens Accommodation

Have you tried looking at the Val Thorens website?

You don't say when you are going, but a quick search on there returns a studio for 2 at 241 euros during mid Jan. There are several under 300 euro.

Have a look at http://www.valthorens.com
Booking a late deal

Similar to OA, I had my sister and some friends already booked on a Mark Warner holiday, but it was going to cost me almost £1800 to add on to the trip. I finally got it on the Friday for £249 and was in resort the following morning :)

Not sure I could do that any more, as I doubt work will let me have a week off at 4 hours notice.

Nice to see he has raised over £4000 as well. I was happy to donate to his cause.
Always carry one of these in your pockets, just in case..
