They are about the same price as in the UK

That sounds like a jolly good idea. I might purchase a few

I suspect he means that GPS apps for smartphones kill the battery life (my golf range finder is great but, even with Bluetooth and Wifi off, it will take the battery from 100% to less than 10 in 4 hours

That is exactly correct. I got cut off half way through the post....darn phone!

I find that using the GPS on my HTC trains the battery like there is no tomorrow. Also, cold weather makes a battery's life shorter anyway :)

English Breakfast? Now why on earth would anyone want one of those, what with all that bread, porridge, ham and cheese on offer.....???

Spot on about the Pi Mai, massively overpriced. I hear the food is quite tasty though.

I suppose it is sort of, but Davina was talking quite generally about ski equipment and hiring - it was a bit hard for her not to mention her shop. I'll try some Dos and Don'ts....

DO: I was just about to tell you where to go for the best value English Breakfast, but I'd better not, the clue is it is at the bottom of the Piste Luc Alphand!

DONT: Go to the bar/restaurant Pi Mai unless you have hot tons of cash to burn. It's a lovely mountain bar but is very expensive.

I was joking about your name ;)
