Just bought a G10 from Slush & Rubble. No techno add ons with it just a plain lid. Make sure you take your goggles with you when you try. Luckily, I did and found out that my goggles didn't fit me properly. Real bummer, as I had to buy a new pair. And then I had to buy some new salos and some base layers. Not sure what happened but my credit card took a big hit!

Have to disagree ise. Yes, it can be a slow trek up from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg but for me that's part of the experience.
Yes. you can't ski down to the town if the snow is not so good, so what? Get the lift / train back down. Yes, you get the views of mountains your not on. That's the whole point. Scenery, snow, skiing, that's what I go for. The lift system I used was certainly not awful. If you go to any resort at peak times expect to queue. I went first week of January 08 and never had a problem with queues and that was including getting over to Wengen to watch the Lauberhorn downhill racing. I'm sure the skiing for those of you more advanced than I am could be limited. But for me and my wife who have only skied 3 times, the long, wide blues are ideal. In 2010 I'm sure we'll go somewhere else but would I recommend Grindelwald? Yes I would. |

Have to agree with Grindelwald. Our hotel had an indoor pool last year which looked out onto the Eiger. Simply stunning. We're going again in January. Can't wait.
