Hi,
Looking to use the train for a transfer from Salzburg to Schladming in March, been looking at the OBB website and it will let me buy a Std rail ticket but wont let me book one on a specific train i would like .
Anyone know if you have to reserve a seat in order to get on the train, or if i buy a standard ticket can I just take pot luck with getting a seat or more importantly getting on the train??
any help would be great, as ive not used trains abroad

p.s
I have e-mailed OBB but no reply as of today!
Many Thanks

How to know if your boots fit properly

i think as a beginner its probably the most difficult thing other that learing to ski to know if your boot feel right, as you have never had any reference to go by. For sure you know if you buy a pair of normal shoes if they dont fit but you have had years of experience in normal shoes.
new boots take a good week of skiing to bed in properly but that said as Bandit mentioned, a firm hand shake over your feet is a fair guide. New boots should be slightly on the tight side when fited with no areas of pain or hot spots and shouldnt make your feet ache on the balls or soles.
Indoor skiing is a good idea for tesing them out (just chaeck with your shop your ok to take em back if you use them indoor) cant see any decent shop objecting to this.
one final thing if you are not happy after you have spent some time in them take em back before you go on holiday and dont settle until you happy (be a problem customer)you dont want to waist time on holiday with your boots.
Keep it up you will love it:-)
buy skis online vs in resort

Often had this argument with myself, and have come to the conclusion that for 2 weeks a year it isn't worth it, ski hire prob around £ 100 per week so £ 200 quid per year versus 3-400 for my own plus skis, 2x lots of carriage edge and wax plus the faf of carrying them. Plus I get to try different ones if the weather changes. Personally for me I would have to ski a fair bit more :-)
