merino base layer usually best, wickes well and proper toasty.
Spent years using the stuff for mountain biking in winter.
Don't get carried away with fancy brand names unless you like labels

Yes i am new to the sport, but my partner and some of her family have been sking for years.
Decided to give it a go in april as I was advised the indoor / outdoor ski slopes start to go quiet then, also my partners family had returned from a holiday in March and wanted to go this winter and its given me plenty of practice and lesson time.
Had my current boots for 5 months having battled with some poorly fitting boots when i started and it has transformed my sking.
I am also not taken in easly and read up a lot before buying boots as they are a bit of an investment.
