Scottish ski show

Did anyone else waste their money going to the Scottish Ski Show (and Scottish outdoor show) at the SECC this weekend.....family of 4 with Parking £42.
Half of the stands were for general outdoor gear and the few decent ski stands that were there were so cramped you couldn't get in...
The downhill display was about 20 meters from the back corner - facing the back wall...no-one could see anything
Went along to buy a helmet, 2 jackets, 2 gloves, snow boots and whatever else...came back with a headache....
Really was hicksville.
A friend had a stand - he said it was an improvement on last year....can't imagine worse!
Next year I will know better....

Hello all. Having done Les Deux Alpes many times it is time to explore other resorts....
I have booked flights to Geneve on Sunday Feb 5th and need advice on Chalets/hotels/resorts.

Ideal must haves are;
Max 2 hours from Geneva
Ski in/out
Close to lifts
Family friendly (13 & 8 yrs)
Catered
Ski guiding/hosting included/available
Good for intermediates
Reasonable sized resort for Mrs R to explore (shop) as she doesn't ski (yet)

Is that enough info?

We have been spoiled by Mark Warner over the years and have booked L2A again for Jan, however, they have now stopped (just) selling accomodation only holidays and don't offer flights north of Manchester. Have noticed that Esprit offer similar hilidays but they have a no under 13 policy at dinner - even our 8 year old can hold her own at dinner and as it is a family holiday I feel that providing they can behave, kids should not be excluded from the table....

Thanks

What a result! Easyjet has launched their winter routes for next season and have included Grenoble from Edinburgh.....really good prices (for now!)
