Bit nervous trying something different but MW don't take no flight bookings anymore and they don't flight from Scotland

Snowplough....Not a plug, just a correction...because MW do do flights out of Glasgow. According to this year's brochure you can also book without flights too...but must telephone book (not online).

Smartski, you have no idea the arguments I have had this year with MW about this this year.

We have Eden to L2A as a groups ranging from 8 to 17 , 11 times in the past 5 years without any problems.

Wehave also used them lots for summer holidays for years because we really like the mix of activities, service and kids clubs.

I booked flights with easyjet to travel in Jan and Feb 2012 and booked L2A last March for Jan 9th....all ok

In May I tried to book MW in Mirabel using my easyjet flights for February but they had changed their policy and would not accept my booking. Numerous calls and emails followed and in the end they would not change their policy.

Net result, we are using Club Med in Feb.

The flights from Glasgow are few and far between and we're not available when I booked.

I don't mind the travelling to Manchester of Gatwick for summers hols but it's not much fun carting all the ski kit around the country especially when easyjet offer are perfect alternative to the places we want to go.

It is a shame but if MW keep their no flight policy in place our group will be forced elsewhere from now on......

or contacting PJ Hayman Insurance Brokers directl. They may be able to make a suggestion:

I'm not a customer of, and have no connection, with either organisation.

Thanks bandit....I will pass the info on

We have done Mark Warner in L2A for the last few years (and again this season) but have me a few people who have done both hotels.....general view is that they have similar standards....
Clubmed much bigger and therefore can be crowded
All inclusive is good
Location is good with a lift on the doorstep and ski back to door possible
It is a bit out of town

Talking to our aged neighbours about upcoming ski trip it was obvious that they were envious and could perhaps be tempted to join our group.
Apparently (according to them) it is almost impossible to get winter sports insurance at a semi-reasonable cost.
Jeremy (82) has skied forever......better technique than I could ever hope for.
Liz (72) again has many years of skiing and with effortless skill.
Apart from Jeremy's knees they are both fit and well and they could easily manage a few hours easy skiing per day but it is not worth the risk to go without insurance.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Just seen reports today of 80cm fresh snow on the glacier and 15cm in the town..........now really looking forward to Jan 8th.
Bring on a deep freeze (and some more powder)!
Sleeps till ski time

Far Queue wrote:Snowplough, do you have a web host and address? A lot of ISP's will provide you with a small amount of space and a subdomain (ie mrxyz.homepage.ntlworld.com)

If so I can supply you with the javascript and some instructions on what to do.

Just found an app that does the trick! Ta!
