You could also have a section on how to encourage reluctant wives to try a bit harder! This year will be her third attempt - tried ESF group lesson (lasted 3 hours, never went back for remaining 4 days), tried dry slope (completed 3 lessons but did not have the confidence to last more than 10 minutes in resort). This year she is trying Xscape with a positive attitude........

Have to admit that I'm feeling smug/elated...just booked 10th Jan at Berangere in Les Deux Alpes for £1800 all in from Edinburgh - for lady R, 2 kids and meself.
Looked a few days ago and the price was £2800.....

Now I'm wondering what I will do with my spare time until then - now that I don't need to search most days.

Having disovered skiing only 3 years ago at the age of 41 it seems that very little else matters...........perhaps someone else with a bit more experience should start a forum for self help, or is it just me?

I booked for four of us last October for wk 2 this year for £2200 inc kids club for 1 child, ski school for 2, kit hire for kids and Mrs R and we got a 50 Euro discount from each lift pass.....

Praying for same deal this year.......it's getting to that time of year where I check every day - especially on days like today where the rain in coming at us sideways on the west cost of Scotland...Brrrr

BTW, Berangere has been really good on our previous visits and conditions have been great!

Hello, we are going to L2A 10/01 for the 3rd year running - consistency for kids ski school etc....
We always use Mark Warner at La Berangere. They have single rooms and if you time it right you should get a deal for hb at around £500 inc flights and transfers.

Riffraff seem to be everywhere these days (even j2ski), thought I saw some in a mirror just last week but couldn't have been!

Have been on many Mark Warner sun holidays but I think they have cheapened (is that a word?) by keeping prices at the same level over the years (allowing riffraff in) but charging for everything that was previously included.

Winter is different though......wine included, ski hosting (no need for a map) for varying levels of skill and best of all the activity based childcare.
