If you run off with peoples skis you'll end up getting thumped one day or in a police station explaining why your stole someone skis

When I was in Italy this year a young girl came skiing down a blue slope, lost it on a turn and hit her head on a tree, splitting her helmet and getting concussion

Although she was going quite fast but loads were going faster

I would say it is he who crashed into the learner, who was skiing around the poles.
