You may not allow to take ski boot on as hand luggage, i have been in a situation when I had to go back and send my hand luggage into the boot.

A few years ago while coming home with a gf she took her high heeled shoes off and was told she could not carry her shoes on board the plane and had to either send them to the hold or put them on

spellings not my strong point but I am usually end up doing both

Going to Pamporovo on the 1st of Feb for some gentle skiing before heading somewhere like Italy maybe. Looking at the forecast and current conditions for Pamporovo on J2ski its getting warmer with only 30cms of snow and 25% of the lifts open

Looking on BBC website the picture is better with 25cms on the lower slops of snow and 70 on the higher ones, with 7 out of the 9 lifts open

Which one is right

Was looking at going this year leaving 27 Dec 08 returning 4 Jan 09. Prices on the 27 were very cheap around £40 but returning were around £140 this included taxes but no baggage

When I first started looking in late September one of the national carriers had a offer - think it was Air Lingus - for £120ish return which included taxes and baggage but this was via some place and the flight time or should I say travel time was around 9 hours

Meanwhile I found out when High Altitude starts, 25 Jan 2200-2230, BBC Two and BBC Sport website apparently you can watch ski sunday on the website too

It might be an idea if their was a thread advising what is the ski collection procedure at airports.

I have only had experience of Milan Airport, Italy where the skis come with the normal luggage

In Poland I hire skis as its not much more expensive then taking your own

This post has taken an interesting fork

Last year we went with Ingrams and they had a measly 15Kg luggage allowance and I think another 12kg for skis although when we got to checkin no one took any notice of the weight restrictions

Needless to say I will never use that tour operator again

I need to check if it was Ingrams :(
