Pavel,
Glad to hear you have returned. One of the great skier's sins would be arriving home too late for the Pasha and Kulich. You may not be too popular if after all the hard preparation work, you returned too late and missed the results :!: I was getting worried and thought you had turned left rather than right and ended up in Utah. Then we wouldn't have heard from you until late Jume :shock:!!! I look forward to seeing what you have to "offer" when Dave gives the go-ahead. Welcome home :lol: Mike :wink: |

Many of us use an "avatar" for personalizing our entries. There must be a story behind each avatar which you may like to share. Whether it be a "beaver" or a locomotive or a rock star!
Just to get it started, my present avatar is a picture from the Sundance Chair Lift at Ski Martock in Nova Scotia. Another sunny morning following a night of freezing rain. The trees were a sight and the hill was in great shape as usual. :!: The sun rises at the top of the lift line! Mike :-) |

Hirsty,
Assuming (always a dangerous move ..) that your girlfriend is a keen to somewhat keen skier too... go with planting the idea how great it would be if you BOTH worked in the same ski shop. You would both have extra cash for your sport, you would be able to spend time with her at the shop, and eventually you may both own the ski shop!! Then look at the selection of skis at your disposal!!! Or otherwise go with Brez's suggestion and logic that you would be making more cash for the both of you!! Whatever you do - be honest and don't even consider making up a "story". Save the shiny thing as a suprise later on. :lol: Good luck, Mike :wink: |

IceGhost;
Broken foot :!: That must have been some big wasp :!: :shock: Hope the pain with the foot is tollerable. At least it is nearing the healing time for winter ski & board related injuries :roll: You'll be back in shape for next year. Mike :wink: |

Pavel,
The quiet, sunny, fresh groomed, early morning and empty trails of spring sound so fine. We were skiing this morning but it wasn't as advertised above. It was more like winter today with a cold wind blowing with a blizzard-like snowfall. The afternoon was better but true spring skiing will have to be re-discovered another day. I did experience it a few years ago and it still is clearly one of the best days ever on the skis. Not a mark on the snow, and not a sound in the air & not a cloud in the sky. The smell of the soft wood fire from the lodge was so inviting. The grooming was perfect and the early morning sun did shed some warmth. There was no wind that day and the snow was just perfect. My tracks were the first in that soft snow that day! Perfect! Mike : :-) |

Souldrive,
The Italians may say MACEECH!!! ( forgive my spelling ) But I understand that means COOL!!!) Your song "Sunshine", Souldrive is right out there with the best ... it has the sound of confidence and determination! :thumbup: :thumbup: Hayley made a great attempt but I think the battery gave out in the end for the focus control :wink: I think Jan should his comments on your style and form BREZ. There were lots of revolutions but I couldn't see from where the continual driving force was coming. My spinning has a long long way to go in comparison :cry: You have done well :!: Thanks for the video. Mike :shock: |

Thanks Dave! It must be satisfying to be able to understand this technology!! Knowing how to repair things when disaster strikes helps us through the "... OH NO ! ..." times. :wink:
