Prices of Food and Drink in Val D'isere

Theo - if you're living in Eire then you won't find things as expensive as those who earn their money in £Sterling - The Irish euro is I believe still worth 1 french Euro!
Unfortunately, £Sterling is now a basket case having fallen from Euro1.6 / 1.0 £ to 1.07 / 1.0 now. That's the main reason we're finding France so expensive as we all convert back into £ at the current rate.
Glad you put the smiley in Trencher or you might have got a very different reply! Instead I'll just give your post the attention it merits......
Hi Finn,

Cool name, and spelt properly too! (My son's name BTW).
I'm not suggesting for a moment that wearling a lid is daft or crazy, just that I have concerns when many people haven't grown up wearing one, and the feeling of (over) confidence that brings.

Bit like most people thinking they're good drivers!
I disagree, Trencher. In all those sports people learnt whilst wearing helmets.

In skiing the vast majority (at present) learnt without wearing them. It's a very different scenario.
I think it's important to remember that it should be down to personal choice at present, though I believe more and more people will wear lids as they will always have done so, be they beginners or having learnt as kids.

You shouldn't be judged one way or another by whether or not you choose to wear a lid.
Think that's a bit harsh Bandit considering some of the statements here.

Finn's statements are what worry me most about people wearing lids who haven't grown up in them - over confidence and a feeling of 'invincibility'.
What would you listen to?

Only music should be the sound of your skis on the snow.
