If you're looking to self cater, the Pierre & Vacances apartments in Flaine Foret might suit - good size ski area, and 100m to the slopes. Also quite close to Geneva for transfers.
Flaine is 60's award winning architecture, not to everyone's taste, but not as horrendous as you might think. Plenty of skiing for a third weeker. |

I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time.
Remember that your feet are probably the most important part of your body skiing wise, so investing in a couple of good pairs of socks is well worthwhile. A decent pair of gloves is also important - if any of you suffer from cold hands, mits tend to be warmer than gloves, and don't be afraid to wear more than one pair - I needed 3 pairs in Flaine last January! Also, don't forget a hat and take it with you each day. |

I can't believe for a moment that you're an intermediate Bandit, certainly not by UK standards!!
Back to topic, test some first to see what suits. Different brands in the same 'category' can have a different feel. |

Good powder days lend themselves to skis.
Slush is great on a board. However there is only one winner, and it involves two skis, not one board! |

Maybe the jacket per passenger rule only applies to those driving BMWs!!
