Doesn't seem a bad price. Assume season is 18 week and skis are in region of 1000 Euro, plus 3 services so total cost 1060 Euro. Even assuming that the shop is free and the nice person who adjusts your binding gets zero salary that would require equipment to be rented 60% of the time to break even. Of course if you want second or third season skis you would expect a discount but is difficult to avoid the math of running a business.
OldAndy: Out of interest, why did you change from the Cham 87 to the Head Rev 90. |

Great video, fun to watch. Have only heard good things about resort and can see why.
For added drama if go there again: Pretty flat / uphill landing on that dropoff. Should of put camera on knee to show near miss with head :-). We like danger! |

Some reports are now having 90" of snow in Chamonix over next week. Should be more than enough to put us back on top.

My point being if we want to be respected as an Alpine force we don't need to focus on gimmicks. Give the support to current crop of skiers who are amazing.
Full respect to guys ski achievements but comments like 'tougher than Olympics' are straight from well know a dance show. Plus someone tell Jaguar that middle age man in tight suit is inconsistent with thier marketing drive for younger generation and females. Give the new F-Pace to young family for a month and let them give review on x number of resorts. Practical, safe in all conditions and fun :-). |

I have to ask it 'why'? Guy is obviously a reasonable skier, so why not try and do the real thing? May as well attach himself to skis on a roof rack as be towed with a water ski rope.
If you read this Graham strikes me of mid life crisis. What next buy a motorbike, stick on those big feet skis things and do 200 MPH. |

38 deg (getting towards extreme territory) at top and 33 deg average is certainly steep enough.
Put 20cm of powder on it or spring snow and remove the moguls and a lot more people would be able to try and style it. Not sure why you would bother if is an icy moguled mess. Still good to give yourself a reason to practice self arrest now and again. Something about the gravitational pull of a run that is steep and you know will be a mess. |
