I had a think about LGM after I suggested it. I love it because when we've been there all the elements have been right.

Perhaps in retrospect I loved it for the overall experince, company, snow conditions, accomodation which are my personal memories.

I would love to go to the dolomites again. I thinkas per a previous suggestion. There's a lot of mountains to cover in Europe.

Grand Massif?
Fits the ski bill.
Only stayed in Samoens though and unfortunately I don't think the nightlife is up to much, though I know there's an Irish bar.
Good luck.

Deffo roofbox.
Asked this advice last season and we managed to borrow one which saved costs.
We fitted 6 pairs of skis in on the way home, plus poles and other stuff like towels round sides.

A sound bit of advice I was given (and this did result in us having to borrowa smaller one) is to watch the height as on the tunnel there is a restriction.
You can hire themif don't want to buy.
