Took us over 5 hours to get from Aiport to Princessa Parc, Arinsal. Only just made it in time to see the Rugby.

We were at the Princessa Parc, three years ago and our transfer was 5 hours + both ways, now when I went there 25 years ago it was less than 4!! Really enjoyed it there, as it was great for the family and realtively inexperienced, but that transfer will definately put us off going there again.
Thomson Airlines Baggage Allowance

When we travelled recently with Thomson those who had paid for ski carriage had no problems, it still included their seperate boot bags. They all had clothing in with their skis. Some even had 2 sets of skiis etc in the same bag. Everywheres different though you never know till you try!!
Was skiing in Mayrhofen at Xmas and no helmets were not a requirement. Not even at ski school for beginners I noticed.
Schladming - The Hohenhaus Tenne Cabin

Had a fantastic week, good skiing, enjoyed the early eveing apres. Was with great company at our hotel a couple of Ks out of town so did not venture down town much in the later evening.

A word of warning to those who have been before!!
We previoulsy have used the rear karioke/bowling bar to the rear of the Hankle Bar as good place to go if there was a few of you. As a result of this we decided to meet up with quite a few friends there one night, which raised a few eyebrows and caused my phone to go red hot as the place in question in now a 'Gentlemens Pole Dancing Club' with I have on very good authority was full of tall good looking East European girls to entertain you!! and big bouncers to go with it!!
AS a result of this we retreated to the front Hankle bar, and although it is quite small it had great atmosphere and good time was had by all.

The Hohenhaus Tenne Cabin last year taking all the trade is obviously taking effect
Mayrhofen gondola question
Started by User in Austria, 15 Replies
Was there at Xmas with family so we had to go with the flow and yes 45 minutes was the worst and 20 minutes queue the best at the bottom of the gondolla. Not sure what time they run down till but between 3.30-4.30 there was 20-30 min queue to come down on it as well. Once your up there and away there was hardly any long waits at all!! Tony H knows the area well and gave good advise about skiing the Ahorn if you have novices or those who lack confidence to start off with.

Thanks for that it certainly looks gorgeous there without snow.
St Johann in Tirol - Information Required

Thankyou all for your comments, which will be very useful to them as this will be there 3rd ski trip and it will be rude to say that they are not 'fliers'. It seems that this will be an excellent place for them to develop their skills and build their confidence.
Any tips on bars for your typical 40+ plus couple who like to enjoy themselves.
I apologise for not replying earlier but have been away myself recently. Thanks again.
Les Mosses - 6th Form School trip

My daughter and compadres are going to the small Swiss resort of Les Mosses February 2010. The trip is obviously to cover all standards. My daughter has skiied 3 times and is competent blue run and can handle the more straight forward reds. From the little research i have done so far the place seems quiant but maybe a bit limited for the advanced adrenalin junkies. If any of them are that good they should be thinking of going somewhere on their own with suitably skilled pals. I have put the name of the resort in the Search chat facility and next to nothing comes back on it. If anyone has any knowledge of the place/tips please share your wisdom. Ta
