How long have you got ?

Easy drive, but long way round (and not many trains) by rail since they closed the line heading north from Oban to Glencoe in ninteencanteen... don't know if there ever was a passenger services on it to be honest. Anyway, there is a roundabout service but you should plan on a 3 day trip (as you will have to head back east to Tyndrum to pick up a train north) to get one days skiing i if you take the train....

While I LOVE the Clachaig Inn (and to a lesser extent The Kings House, though it closer to the slopes) in Glencoe, Fort William offers a wee bit more variety if you get stuck.

Picked up some useful info. on skiing in immediate Bergamo area ( think it was resorts within about 50km) at the Metro show, including a nice DVD, happy to send it on to you if your still looking.

Have to agree there, we just picked up a good deal by waiting till 10 days before - and now the hotels that were not interested 4 weeks ago are suddenly emailing us frantically to see if we are interested in a short stay booking ! We got the hotel we originally wanted and about £200 LESS than we were expecting to pay for a 4 night stay.

That week is not half term or Easter so maybe worth taking a gamble and waiting....

P.S. Flumserberg was excellent, if conditions are good I'll be heading there agaian next season for a few days.

Just a quick note of thanks to all at J2SKI

We posted a few months ago as we had a couple of last minute drop outs on our small group heading for the 3 Valleys in early January... it resulted in a cracking couple from the other end of the country joining us and a fantastic time was had by all (and they are now very much part of our group for 2010).

So THANKS.......that's it, just think that the forums help should be recognized.

Anyone from the forum likley to be in Niederau the first week in March ? Been toying with the idea of going there for ages but I think your pics have convinced me and I have a few days free with no plans.....
