When you come out of the cable car go down the first small steep bit and go right along the narrow stretch and then sharp left down all the way. Its really not to bad at all, my profile picture is taken halfway down the Sarenne. Its steep in places but not really a blkack slope at all.
Go for it man, just dont drop into the moguls as I agree with you its steep and not easy

Get yourself back up to Pic Blanc at the end of the week and do the Sarenne. Trust me that first little bit is alright, a bit narrow maybe, and you can skirt the mogul field, and after that its easy going cruising. Youll be so pleased you did it.

+1 to what he said.

Eat less and exercise more = not waisting your money going on a ski holiday to sit in a bar for the day.

Wait and get a last min deal and you will always save a few quid if your not too fussy about where you go.
The first week after christmas when the kids go back to school is always the cheapest and quietest time of year to go. I did it once and we skiied empty runs all day long.

Thanks for the replies. We were in Morzine last year and Chamonix a few years earlier and just fancy trying another resort. I have skiied in Meribel and loved it but my friends have not so that is why the first choice is there.
I never thought of la Clusaz. Any advice on it?
Thanks.

I am looking for something thats very hard to find.
I tried last year to find the same thing and gave up, but I am willing to give it another go.
I am looking for accomodation in Meribel for four nights for about 7 or 8 people from January 26th to january 30th. I would prefer catered or half board but would take self catered if there was no other choice.
I only get 4 days skiing a year due to very young kids so want to make the most of my few days and feel that Meribel is the best bet for good skiing with a good nightlife thats not too far from Geneva.
Thanks in advance.

Morzine or Megeve?

What have I started!
Seing as Bandit is the only one who has been in Megeve this is directed at her. Do you think it would be suitable for 6 blokes (late 30's) consisting of 1 very keen skiier(me) and 5 others of varing degrees of talent/interest who would also like a few beers and the option of a late night or two.
I have been quoted a much better half board deal for 4 days in Megeve than in Morzine which is why I need to make the decission before I get an earfull for bring my friends somewhere crap.
