She who must be obeyed and myself are off to Whistler for the first time in Feb and are scouring everything that is Whistler at the moment, but although we know the shuttle bus runs around every 6-12 mins we don't know when it begins and ends each day - can anyone advise?
We're staying at the Coast Blackcomb suites which we understand to be in the upper village so the need for the bus is probably wanted to get about and especially if we want (and we do) to do the earlier morning Fresh tracks up the mountain. Anybody stayed there and have any hints or tips please? Cheers BB |

We snowboarded breck last year, had a great time!! Great trails, real friendly people. On mountain food prices vary tho, we found one place n went there every day - cant remember which mountain tho :-(
We will return as soon as we can!! |

I ride goofy! i agree about the knee brace, i rode with mine in the beginning just to be sure, but dont get anywhere near the discomfort from boarding as i did from skiing. Sounds like you have lots of tuition booked which is a great idea. Been said above, you will fall over and over again in the beginning and wonder if you will ever 'get it' but when you do!!! Practice practice practice too.
Gettig off lifts and getting on drags are SO different than when on skiis .... keep us informed as to how you get on!! :D |

Caron - impact shorts would be a good move (falling and just sitting). Try to relax and think about your (2 only) edges. Be prepared to fall without warning too when you lose balance (you cant just swing a leg / ski out). Enjoy yourself!

Sagna Longa - which tour operator? I'm going to Sanssicario on the 24th Jan - cant wait, havent been in the area since 01 and 03 (in Sauze). Although, Serre Che has been great these past 2 seasons!!! :D Cheers |

When are you there? We are just over the crest in Sansicario on the 24th Jan. Went to Sauze in 01 and 03 and had a great time - as part of the Milky Way, there's a huge area to ski / board and Sauze has a great night life too if you wanna party. Cant comment on lift prices etc as done ours thru the travel agents as part package. Snow looks good at moment and more to come - think we gonna have a great time!!! :D |
