Yes, it's the local pass but it includes Mont G, Claviere and Cesana which is a pretty big area, well for me anyway! and one day in the the Milky Way.

Les Hameaux Des Airelles - fairly posh new apartments with proper bathrooms, yahhay!!. Crystal are charging £1100 for a couple in a 2 - 4 person apartment in January 2010, but we booked with Neilson for £750 for both of us. Lift passes are separate but pretty reasonable at £120 each.

Now, if only I could hibernate until it was time to go....

He does understand me when I say 'weewee' or 'poopoo' in a very high pitched voice though.

I am sooo glad I am not the only standing at the patios doors doing this....

I don't know about foreign languages but my dog talks to....wait for it...GOD!

Whenever I speak to him instead of looking at me, he turns his head to one side and looks up in the air, presumably asking for divine inspiration for dealing with such an imbecile as me who can't speak dog!
Hi, I am Sharon and I'm not going to VC....yet

Spookily enough I have been looking at booking there for next March (going to MontG in Jan) and was thinking of posting to see if anyway has been and what it was like. Looks like it gets the thumbs up from J2ers so I will call on my little plastic friend and make it a date.

cheers guys

How did every-one start skiing?

Every since I was little I was mesmerised by ice skating and skiing on the TV (since about 1968 then since you ask!) but it was way out of my parents league to go or even pay for me to go on the school skiing trip, so had to make do with the occasional trip to the nearest ice rink about 25 miles away.

First OH would have nothing to do with it (should have know it was doomed from the start!) so my daughter got to ski long before me on her school trips and I was so envious, but shiny new OH is a very experence skier and so I finally got my wish and started skiing about 5 years ago and I justcan't get enough of it. OH thinks I'm slightly unhinged as I read and re-read ski brochures as standard bedtime reading and have at least two trips booked at any one time!
skiing and a bad knee

Hi All

Just back from Nendaz which was lovely. My OH suffers from recurring knee problems due to too much football in his yoof. He takes a daily dose of glucosamine and condrohtin tablet every day, skiing or not, and Ibuprofen every morning before attacking the slopes. He is still a bit sore at the end of the day, but nothing a nice warm bath doesn't cure.

A tip re: Ibuprofen, buy it in the pharmacie in the resort. They scorn the namby pamby sized doseage beloved of the UK health czars and one horse tranquillizer sized pill will be enough for all day )
