oh noooo!!!! info overload....too confused...aaarggh

I too like snowb4ndit read all the info about packing ski boots and having carefully wrapped mine up in towels etc. within boots bags and then in the case to fly out to MontG on Sunday, what to do now??!!

We are flying with Neilson (Thomson) so I assume we can take as hand luggage although bit heavy and unwieldy to be luggging around.

As snowb$dit's trouble seems to be "human" error should I leave my lovely packing in tact or re-think my tactics??

(I am assuming B'ham airport will be open this Sunday of course the snow is blanketing down here in Worcester!)

Any one else in MontG area next week?

What is a pomas lift please?

I have skied Sestriere and Claviere in the Milkway and have only come across bog standard drags and chairlifts as far as I know! (we fly in to Turin though)

My sister highly recommends Flaine in France from which is much closer to Geneva
Sciatic Nerve!!!

You must try and find someone immediately, as it may take a few to find the right person.

I had two nerves trapped in a disc, including the sciatic, and was in agony (carrying heavy crockery in high heels as you ask!)I went to an oesteopath who didn't want to touch me in case she did more damage, my doc sent me to NHS physio everyday for a week where they gave me a few exercise to no effect, until I finally discovered a chiropractor who was sports injury oriented.

There are various forms of chiro out there, but Aidan had a treatment bed with a lever between your legs (oooh, matron)and once he identified which discs it was trapped between he gently levered them apart. Don't be scared by this, he did the sessions for a very small amount of time and it wasn't painful at all. It took about 4 weeks to become fully mobile but it was about 18 months ago and I haven't had a problem since.

Tony, have you got any thoughts on staying at the Chalet del Sole, on the Clotes piste?
Dare I brave Austria again?

thanks Tony, it does looks lovely but it's nearly twice the price of Filmzoos! I daresay you get what you pay for but I do like a decent bargain!

OH and I are average intermediate but lazy skiers, and find the Milkyway with it's well bashed pistes and lift system fab but I would like to try somewhere different.

We like a small village atmosphere and good food, and are not bothered about a vast ski area as long as it's easily accessible and well groomed.

We stayed in Hopfgarten last Christmas and it was just too hard for me in particular, so it's put me off Austria a bit.

I have been looking at the hotel Alpenkrone with Inghams. Does anyone have any experience of this resort and/or hotel, or any other Austrian resort that you think might be suitable. (I've looked at the great N but it looks mainly draflifts to me which OH can't stand with bad knees)

thanks and Merry Crimbo and a fantastic ski season to one and all at J2ski x

I don't know about "N" going missing, but the geography of the Independent isn't all that - it says Sauze D'Oulx is in France!!

Interesting, does the car prefer to ski or board.....
