Unfortunately I dont think the kids would be asked to take part as they will only have been in ski school for 1 day. Karen That's the whole point Karen, they do ask a group of kids to take part so as to show what they can do after 1 day ski school. I'm not sure how they actually decide, but there were 2 young girls at the hotel where I was staying who were so excited. That was the same night I was there Tony H. My instructor was one of the guys who had to carry the poor woman down off the slope, and apparently she did break her one leg and damaged the ligaments in the other and had an opearation the same evening. The sad thing was that she had only just started skiing again after some horrible injury she suffered last year. Maybe someone's telling her it's time to stop?? |

hi,
The ski show is on every sunday at 8:30pm on the main beginner's slope behind the ski school office. It's free for all to attend, and Bobo's bar has a little stall selling plenty of Gluwhein to keep you warm!It usually lasts about 3/4 of an hour. It's a great night, and well worth going to watch. The instructors put on a good show, and show how it should be done, and it's very entertaining. They also get the children involved, and some lucky children from ski school that day will be chosen to take part along with their instructors, so you never know your children may be taking part. I tried to take some photos last time I was there, but unfortunatley, they didn't come out too well, but Paralyticskicrazy managed to get a couple, and they're on facebook,if you want to have a look. Enjoy! |

I'm not sure how you can attach them here, but you could upload them to the Facebook page if that's any help...... it would be great to see some photos - I think I've still got the skiing blues!! :( P.S. How was Gunther and the sport cafe? |

That's abouot right - A friend of mine spent new year there, and said that 2 beers (not pints) were costing approx 14 Euros! |

Hi,
The lift pass cost for a week is 150 Euros, so with the exchange rate as it is you're probably better off paying the £134 for it. Have a great time |

Hi! Sorry to hear your bad news. I hope that your hubby gets well soon.
From a personal point of view, my father was active and fairly fit, but had to have a tripple heart bypass a couple of months ago (he's 62. SInce the operation, he has been very positive and continually working on his fitness since coming out of hospital. He is probably fitter now than he has been for many years. Ask your specialist about specific cardiac rehabilitation units in your area - they were brilliant with my father, and designed a fitness program especially suited to him. (he hates gyms, and prefers to be out hill walking and the like)As well as working on his fitness in his own time, he would meet with the rehabilitation unit 2 a week oever an 8 week period to monitor his fitness. He's not been told that he can't do anything, and is indeed looking to going skiing again next year even though he hasn't been for a good few years (that is if he can persuade my mother to go too!!) Keep positive, and I remember my father saying that in the initial few weeks after his operation the Dr said that it wasn't about speed but distance in order to get the hear muscles working again. |
