The snow conditions are shaping up nicely although less so at lower altitudes so a ski-in/ski-out can be a problem if possible at all. But other than this and dangerous avalanche conditions due to weird weather, skiing is not much worse than at this time last season. Definitely more snow is needed and some consistent colder weather would be welcome too, but if you are heading out soon you will be fine.

Could it be some rental model? Any other information about them from skiset? You can check specifications against those provided by Head. If it's a previous incarnation of Super Joy, it's supposed to be an advanced performance carver, but very accessible for many skiers. Also, it's fairly light for a carver - lighter than Head's unisex skis in the same category.

Has been a while since I used day passes but from Verbier side the upgrade was about 8 chf. How much is the Printze pass? The full area pass pass now is 71 francs, so probably the difference will be more or less the cost of upgrade...

Depending on weather and traffic any slope has potential to turn into mogul field.

Stating that different philosophy here and in NA is a likely factor is not blaming. Accidents don't just happen, understanding why might help to minimize the risk of being in one.

Yeah, saw it this morning. Agree that different philosophy was likely the factor. There are quite a few pictures on the Interwebs from the site. Looks crazy. Suicide mission to go there unprepared. Sad but hopefully not in vain. With weather all over the place with frequent high winds risk is too high to be anywhere but rolling hills. But too many powder-hungry people as it's often the case during weird seasons.

It's cheap that's why they accept it. For a bigger airport you need to pay and TO's no matter what they say are there for own profits, not your comfort.

I am using down layers (either a vest or a thin jacket) usually under the shell and haven't been cold yet. merino base layer/fleece/down layer/shell works fine at - 10C. They are fairly thin and lightweight so easy to put away in a back pack if it gets too warm. Patagonia, Peak Performance, Dynafit, Salomon and Norrona will usually have them in their collections.
