We received maybe 15 cm. The snow line is lower than last time, but the snow is quite abrasive, probably due to crust underneath.

Only at altitude, at least in this part of the world, and it's very heavy. Went skinning this morning and my skins were soaked when I peeled them off. Skiing down was pleasant-ish for the first 200-300 meters than extremely unpleasant due to very sticky snow with a consistency of wet sugar even before noon. Lot of natural slides too. I must say I am looking forward to this season being over. Had a few very good days, but can count them on one hand. Overall it's been between slightly below average and outright dreadful.

Watts may have as many opinions as any other person, it doesn't mean they have any value. He selects the science that fits his agenda out of the large body of science that doesn't and tries to pass it as a revelation. Just the fact that his favorite trick is to point at the map and say "oh, it's cold there" in support of his position should speak volumes. I just find it bizarre that he is given any credibility by anyone above 14.

Yes I am sure about this. Scientists are above all trained in scientfic method and research. Learning science for practical application doesn't make one a scientist. And no scientist will ever use or cite a dubious blog run by a TV weather man as a "source".

I wouldn't rely too much on late season dumps. Unless you are lucky enough to be in the resort when it happens and when clears, once the sun is out this snow slides, transforms and melts very quickly. But pistes higher up will benefit some for sure.

Being an engineer doesn't make you a scientist. |

I meant a reputable source. Anthony Watts is a colledge drop-out and a TV weather man. It's cute of him to have a blog, but he is talking out of his backside. His blog is widely known as LOLWUWT. |
