There is talk that the link from Tignes to Val D'Isere will open tomorrow - that's very promising as it suggests that the Bellevarde to Toviere bowl will be open.
Seen some work going on on the Toviere webcam and one of the Aeroski bubbles out of Tignes working. |

Great day to be in Tignes - bet the bars did well !! Only the nursery slope open first thing then one more lift mid morning - queues were worst I have ever seen them on the webcam! Hope they can get the glacier runs open soon (again) and that the Grande Motte cablecar isn't out of commission for too long. |

Quite a bit on the way overnight I think :D |

Nelly .... Is that a white out???? |

I don't think!!!!!!!
 Not here anyway...... For me this place is about escapism to the memories and expectations of sliding on the white stuff. I'll stick to the weather forecasts and webcams and stories and questions and answers that help me keep my passion alive and well and possible. I can, however, share a moment or two of concern for those whose fortunes are more imediately tied to the Euro .... Do enjoy exploring Les Arcs next week anyway  |

Being a confirmed hirer :D ...
I am basing my choice of shop this year on who is renting the BBR. Desperate to try this thing out. I saw a couple of pairs in Tignes in April last and they do look different! And gorgeous. Darryl - I hate you  |

Of course you will be able to ski on those Xscreams!
I remeber those skis - used them myself, thought they were great. Skied a couple of runs last season with an old boy skiing on things from the early 1990's - of course he could ski !!! But, what I have found is that there has been another big shift in ski tecnology/design over the last few years. How about a radical suggestion - assuming popping down the shop with credit card in hand isn't an option? Try out a modern pair of skis while on your holiday - that way you will be able to judge if a different set of skis is more fun to ski on or, for you, it doesn't make much difference. |
