After France having it's credit rating lowered, I thought I'd have a look at the exchange rate. To my delight I saw that the £ is now worth over 1.2 euros.
Good news for many of us snow sports enthusiasts! :D |

I really like Andorra. I think the Grandvalira is very underated, it is a large ski area and there is plenty of skiing to be had for most abilites. It offers 268 pistes and although people say they are overgraded there are still 47 blacks, 85 reds, 89 blues and 65 greens. Highest piste is 2640m so skiing is assured through out the season. The lowest is 1710.
It is cheaper than France in terms of the initial outlay and also when there because it is a tax haven. Pas de la Casa is more suited to young party animals, Soldeu is lively but not roudy and El Tarter is for those who like it quiet. I particularly like Soldeu as a base and I would definitely consider it when booking a ski holiday. |

Snapzz did actually say in his first post that he is in VT.
Yes I did edit it as you made me realise that 'if you are' could be interpreted as a question (even though there was no question mark). You have to understand that I am from South East London! |

Yes I know, that's why I mentioned him.

I don't have a hip flask. I try to keep my pockets as empty as possible, I feel uncomfortable when they are full of bits and bobs.
I have been known to have a Baileys in my chocolate chaud, but I don't make a habit of it. |

As you are in the 3 v's then I can recommend an ace bootfitter. He is based in Reberty and the shop is called Pied de Piste or something like that. The guy is called Alfonso he will most definitely be able to tell you what the problem is and make it better.
He is so good that I will be booking a trip to the 3 v's when I need new boots again, just so he can fit them. |

 I do it all the time when I get new gear, so I don't think it's wrong. I've never had anything 'Spyder' though... I bet you keep looking at the price tags too!!!

Hello, hello, hello...What's been going on here then? have I been missing a big love in?
I do pop in from time to time but haven't posted much lately. I have been here 6 weeks now and the skiing is still fab although it's getting a little icey in places. There is more snow forecast for the end of the week and the £ is becomming stronger - Happy days. I don't fall very often and when I do it is usually a silly fall whilst standing still waiting for someone etc But I did have a rather spectacular fall last week, which involved lots of speed on an empty freshly groomed piste (at 9am on my way to work) and the sudden appearance of snow cannon snow. I was swiftly ejected from my skis, did a summersault and finished with a face plant. I then had to retrieve my skis, hat, goggles and poles. Fortunately there was no damage done and I was not late for work as a result. I have met a few j2skiers and they have all been lovely. We have just spent two weeks with a j2ski couple and that will be our third holiday with them. We are also looking forward to skiing and beering with the Wickhams in the next couple of days. Anyone else coming to the PDS this season? |
