I've been down to the beach for a trial run - full Olivia Newton John outfit, curlers in, fag in left hand, bacon butty in right hand and a couple of spare Tena Lady tucked into my leg warmers. I was totally discreet however so no-one will associate me with j2ski :D :D

I think Langley Ski are the Scandinavian company who I've seen at Grenoble airport doing meet and greet handing out bottles of water. (Which compares rather favourably with the usual rep with a clipboard)

Would be interested to hear how the holiday turns out.

Did anyone else get a faulty J2snow mail today? All the snow had been missed off mine!

Does anyone else on here - of the slightly more mature ones - remember a winter in the 1960's when (certainly in the south of England) we had snow which lasted until about Easter? I can remember a sort of ice crust forming on top of about a foot of snow and being able to walk on top of this ice crust without falling through.

And those wonderful (lethal) slides we used to make in the school playground - elf and safety wouldn't allow it now!

The latest Martin's Money Tips e-mail (MoneySavingExpert.com) has a very good section on travel insurance for all ages and types of holiday in case anyone is still trying to decide on their own insurance.

(Sorry - I don't know how to do a link to it!)
