I read that we should all be using shorter ski poles nowadays (for the life of me I can't remember where I read this).
I was always told to work out the length of pole required you turn the pole upside down and hold it by the section that would be under the basket if the right way around. So how do you work out the pole length suitable for yourself nowadays? Am I skiing with poles that are too long? Or is this just a pile pants and I should stick to the same length poles as always? |

I've done the same thing - tried with my legs together because I have seen people poncing around on the slopes doing it.
All it resulted in was me with no balance and a lot less control and thus a drop in speed and enjoyment. I came to the conclusion that it is for only two purposes: 1, You want to pose in a neon one-piece (an oxymoron in itself) or 2, You need to go for a wee. |

 My friends are snurfers and wear their boots but I've never heard of ski boots being worn. I wonder if that would be good or bad for deep vein thrumbosis? |

There is a good pack you can buy from TK Maxx which is a piar of goggle and a pair of wrap around sunnies for about £20.
I can't remember the brand name but it looked like a decent starter pack. |

Its coolio - the below link is for the burton version (but personally I think Burton is over priced).
http://www.edgeriders.com/burton-audex-ipod-hood-jacket-p-1285.html This one is supposed to be just as good http://www.best-buys.co.uk/sale_detail.asp?ProductID=1027 |

It was for people to have a look at. So they could know what you were talking about. By the way, if you read the website you would see that you can buy the jacket on there. |
