For the business men and women out there - a pointer for presentations.
For the juggler - 3 poles make interesting devil sticks. And a rod for a poacher. |

Also don't wear your best gloves unless you like seeing the insulation.

I was looking at graphite and carbon ski poles the other day and was really impressed by the lightness.
Unfortunately though I don't have the first idea about these new fangled poles - only ever had aluminium poles. I was a bit concerned about the bend that they have and don't know what the strength would be like either. So I was hoping you chaps and chapesess would supply me with your sage advice on the pluses and minuses of these poles. |

Although I'm not a snowboarder I did ask my friend (who is) about this.
He informed me that it is akin to learning only how to snow plough. That is that you'll never really advance onto the more challenging terrain and worst of all you'll never really be able to ride powder. |

Thanks Pavelski.
You really do have some graet top tips. I reckon rubbing a candle on the zip teeth would also be pretty good if stuck. |

One thing I always keep an eye out for is really big zipper tags.
If it is difficult to open without gloves it'll be impossible in gloves at -20C. I often have to tie shoe laces through the tabs to add exra grip. |

Definitely not but if something happens to your batteries it is always nice to have a back up.
Mind you this would be an even better back up ![]() |
