The usual thoughtful welcome to a newcomer.

Pete, re the ski school, I had last seasons prices, but cannot seem to locate them this year. I imagine it will be in the region of 90/100 Euros.
I could put an email in to the head instructor, but with it being Christmas, I think you will find out the answer more quickly when you get there.

Hi Pete, welcome to J2ski.
From Innsbruck, catch the bus to the Innsbruck bahnhof, then train to Worgl, then post bus or taxi to Niederau.
Go on to DBB or OBB website, and put in Innsbruck airport to Worgl. It will give you the bus and train times.

Will it be better if I wipe them down first? Got no prob doing that. Easy.

Anyway where do you lot go skiing to pick up mud and grit? I've heard of off piste but that's ridiculous!

Three years ago, I skied down a turnip field, that was covered in heavy frost. It was a bit bumpy! Loads of mud and grit at the bottom of that run!

It is a courtesy. In Austria, if you visit a private house, you normally remove your shoes at the door. The houses are spotless.
It isn't quite the same in a hotel of course, but it is still not good form to take dirty gritty boots into a room.
Your turn on the naughty step, Emma.

Another advantage of one clip boots is that no one will think of nicking them. )
Hi Natalia, welcome to J2ski. Here is a stating point for you, and it gives the resorts within one hour of Memmingham. You might do a map check first, narrow down to a few resorts, then do a transport check.

The cost allocation is that the operators are responsible for de-icing the planes, and the airport owner is responsible for keeping the runways and taxiways clear.
Helsinki is not the only airport that performs well. Stockholm-A have not had an airport closure due to snow in 50 years.
Helsinki, clears a runway in 4 minutes, Stockholm between 6-8 minutes. Both airports operate with 40 to 50 clearing staff. Stockholm has only 18 Plough/Sweeper/Blower machines. Helsinki has a few more.
Heathrow has in excess of 100 clearing staff.
All 3 airports are owned by companies, Helsinki~ Fiavia, Stockholm-A~ Swedavia, Heathrow~ BAA.

It clearly needs to be a partnership approach:
The airport authority would need to commit to runway clearing equipment. By comparison, it has sufficient staff.
Aircraft operators would need to do better in getting it's aircraft de-iced, other countries do better.
The transport authority ought to be able to keep the motorways and approach roads clear, and rail transport operational. Other countries do better.

It isn't rocket science, but it is science. We do not have many engineers and scientists in government. None, in fact.

All of the UK aircraft companies involved will feel a cost kickback to their balance sheets, and shareholders should be asking critical questions. The real cost the the economy is likely to be 3~ 6 times as much as the direct cost.

"Having rear entry (oo er missus) boots does NOT get you up a lift quicker. Fact."
Absolutely wrong!

The rear entry joke was mine, from 2 years ago. Write your own script.
