Eljay wrote:This reminds me of a few years ago when the day before we were due to go skiing my sister could not find her passport. (Bearing in mind she is the most anal person I know and usually soooooooooo organised) I flew out on my own and she followed 2 days later when she had her new passport. It oost her a fortune as she had to pay for and "on the day" passport. Buy a new flight to Geneva and then she took a taxi all the way to Courcheval..................what some folks will do not to miss their holiday!!!
So the moral of this story............make sure you know where your passport is many weeks before you travel and know that it's not about to go out of date :D

mine is always re packed with insurance certificate etc in hand kluggage ready for new trip, scarey this time because i havent got the tickets, hopefully snowb4ndit won't forget mine

Don't worry yourself amanada they are in the bag already together with passports, photos, insurance, EHIC... etc etc

LM wrote:This was a good thread,I have been wondering about this too..the pain and how long after I will be able to do things. As most of you know I have been skiing on a injured torn knee (with an hinged knee brace) and the help of ibuprofen....I know Im nuts ..but I find skiing easier on my knee than walking )
p.s
I stay out of the deep powder, knee cant take that at the moment

I see the ortho surgeon next week to get MRI results...yikes!

Lisa

I hope it all goes well for you. Caron's news is good and I'm sure you'll be posting similar news soon!

skiing and a bad knee

My left knee swells up only when I ski. It is not painful or uncomfortable but does feel a little weaker than the right one. If I wear a knee support bandage/tube thingy it doesn't swell up and feels fine. I have had some arthritic problems wth that knee in the past so I put it down to that and have never bothered to see a doctor about it.
