Ohhh... but think of the advantages of wearing a popular jacket. That is to say, if there are several jackets the same and let's just suppose you may be a skier (or boarder) who likes to push the allowable limits of going faster than the ski patrol would like to see. With a unique jacket you are more easily "nailed" for the infraction .... but if you were wearing a jacket of which there were a few more like it on the hill --- this may play to your advantage.
I wear a rather unique jacket which I was very fortunate to have given to me. It is really comfortable and perfect in the -20C days. It really stands out so I have to try to behave. This jacket is from Jay Peak in the US. Bold colours and bold markings. Beautiful ! People who recognize it as different, ask my connections to Jay Peak as it is a jacket which is not for sale on the regular market. Mike  |

They've done a similar thing at "my" local hill as well. Sometimes they have even built a boarder-cross course for the bikes. It looks really painful; especially when the pack leader takes a spill. You can almost hear the bones cracking. So if you didn't take your bike you couldn't play. That's "why" :!:, I suppose. Mike  |

Nice one ise
It shows many things about human nature. We can tackle anything and enjoy the experience. We can be foolish - in the eyes of some, and be proud of our accomplishments. The rest of us can sit back and be envious of their dedication and "guts" but, as much (or as little) as we might like to do something like this we can be content knowing we will likely not have the chance to do so. This is the kind of video to watch just before bedtime to bring on skiing dreams all night :!:. Pavelski has my vote too
We are bombarded with elections right now in Nova Scotia. Municipal and Federal elections take place this week. Many find more interest in following the US election... I wish pavelski were on my ballot as the selection process would then be sooo easy. I wonder if he is running on a "ski for a better life" platform?? Mike  |
