We skied when we got there and I think we couldn't get into our rooms but were able to dump our bags etc. Our accommodation wasn't booked through Snowcoach. |

Thank you all for your replies.
Trencher, I wouldn't call it meditation but I did rub a Buddha's belly today, he was grinning at me. I looked him in the eyes and said "Come on mate help me out". 10 minutes later, my hubby phoned to say he had found the spare key!!! Yippee!!! Baldeagle and FQ, I am taking your advice  Now where shall I buy my Vodka and DC tonight? |

I think you are talking about the VIN number which can also be found on the log book. This will enable the dealer or locksmith to cut a new key. The key will open the car but not start it as the car has to be programmed to the key. Something to do with the immobiliser.

Sorry to hear that you are feeling bad at the moment and sorry about your bereavement. The funeral puts things in to perpective somewhat! I'm still feeling crap though...Maybe I'll feel better again after a day on the snow tomorrow and you'll feel a bit better after the day on the sofa. |

Thanks Rose for being so kind. :D
I really don't want to go back to the UK and if I do it will be to sell up and make a permanent move to the Alps. My plan is to do that in the summer, but right now I am feeling deflated and am also going to be completely skint by the time this car is sorted....If it can be sorted? If it cant get done then I am definitely going home, no way am I doing my job on foot and buses! I'm not sure I want to be out here for the next three months with no money at all either. Everything was so carefully planned and now with all these events taking place it's a wash out. The snow is amazing too! :-( |

I think I am getting to the point where I am going to end the season here and go home...
In the last few weeks I have had a string of bad luck which has included boiler breakdown at home and a huge repair bill, tortoise hibernation problems so we have lost one of our tortoises and the others are all now out of hibernation, they have incurred an huge vet bill and now need lots of attention for the rest of the winter. My eldest son seems to have abandoned the house and has been staying on London so I have no one at home to monitor the lodgers and now to top it all I've gone and lost my car key and I don't have a spare! Apparently I have now got to get the car towed to dealer and pay out a fortune to get a new key...I feel like crying and am almost on the point of booking flights (Because my car is now grounded)and going home. Just when I get over one problem and begin to relax and enjoy myself again another one comes along...I love skiing and have given up so much to be able to do it but I am finding it so difficult to enjoy myself when all these things are going wrong. Anyone know a good locksmith in or near the Morzine area? |

I have just posted on this very similar thread:
http://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/11817.page I had no problems with the snowcoach. We'd already had three ski holidays that year so doing a coach trip was cheap enough for us to afford a fourth. When looking for the cheapest options I found flights cheaper than the train at the time. Not considered the train since. |
