Trencher

He just wears his Zardoz for special occasions. God I would die of laughing or embarrasment if he did.

Up until 9 months ago I had never joined a forum of any sorts, I did,nt think it was my sort of thing. My Husband is a member of all sorts of forums and I have never understood how he could spend so much time on them. But I do now, thanks to every-one on here.
I was initially on the site for about a month before I plucked up the courage to post. Initially it is daunting. The image of a forum some-times seems that when some-one talks about how many ski hols they have booked, how many pairs of ski,s they have, what clothes they wear, how much they have spent, etc etc etc it looks like boasting. BUT ITS NOT.
Its sharing their pleasure of the different places to go, the merits of certain ski's, boots etc. The best places to go, the best deals, best airlines, etc etc. Its great I love it. I even love the threads that go completely off topic, the drinks, the food, the music threads, every-thing.
The leg pulling can upset some but it generally is very harmless fun. I guess we have all posted some-thing, hit the send button and then when you read it back later you realise you could may-be have been a bit more tactful. I know I blundered in the last few days, but was really meant in fun. I just supposed for once I could be the one doing the leg pulling, instead of having my leg pulled.........nearly backfired.
So I for one love this site, and feel I know so many more people.
Its because of this site I now plan to go to Niederau, Switzerland, and Mayrhofen in the near future. I know some of the best deals, the best equipment, the best thermals and even the best wine. I have increased my score on a Pavel quiz from 1/10 to 7/10. So long may it remain.

Do lots of people on J2 ski in France? I have never been, some of the resorts look beautiful. Perhaps I am being silly but my first winter holiday In Austria was a bit of a nightmare, there were 100 french students staying there, and they rampaged the hotel every night, they all stood around the hotel bar and would not let any-one else get served. Then the ski bus, they just pushed and shoved, it was a nightmare. I am just afraid they are all like that. Daft I know but I just can not get it out of my head

Tony_H wrote:Mention chillis and I cant get that image of Mikey from BB after he ate the hottest chilli in the world. That was funny.

He was hilarious. Are you a BB fan? Thought the wrong person won it this year.
Tony_H wrote:There was a specific TK Maxx thread the other day, and having been to Manchester on Tuesday to try out the Chill Factor e, I dropped in at TK locally, and they had some stuff in, but it was nearly all Treapass stuff, which I really dont like.

Looking forward to next week if its all due in this weekend.

After the last thread on TK Max i signed up with them for email alerts when new stuff was arriving, but not heard any-thing so far. I am desperate for some really warm gloves, any ideas?

Yellow and Orange??? i've seen worse!

I would think most people in the early days totally dispair. I remember my first day of boarding lessons I could have cried, I was bruised,[so was my ego}, I ached, my boots hurt my feet, I had blisters. and I was miles behind the rest of the group. But it did,nt take long to forget all that. Its well worth it in the end.

I have to own up to buying a lot of Xmas pressies last Jan for this Xmas. Working in chemists there are so many perfume bargains to be had especially the deals they do for staff
