2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, beautiful fitted kitchen, living room with terrace for sun in the afternoon and evening, garden, 2 years old, 100m2. 4 minutes walk to lift station, unobstructed view of the Matterhorn, 20% cheaper than advertised, heated ski boot rack in ski room, no washing restrictions and the missus likes it too!!

Been smiling since my offer was accepted last night.

Winters coming, winters coming, tra la la la la :)

This weekend I got a nice hiking shirt and some TNF Summit Seriex Apex alpine pants with gators which cleverly double as winter hiking apparel and spring, summer and autumn sliding pants. In black of course, so with my red jacket from the same range I look like a dead serious skier, but still no intention of giving up the tea tray ;)

Oh, and I got an apartment in Zermatt :P

Hi Dixie, I would reccommend doing more time in Zermatt, as Bandit says it's bigger. There is also more going on and you can hike if the weather is bad. However do go to Saas Fee, I snowboarded there the first weekend in August last year and it was great fun. The town is also very beautiful. Be aware that although you ride cable cats to glacier in Zermatt and funnicular in Saas Fee, once on the glacier it's all drag lifts in both resorts.

Well in prep for the winter I am sitting eating Rosti snd drinking Cardinal in Zermatt having viewed two appartments today, neither a write off and niether perfect. 3 more tomorrow, 2 with fantastic views of the Matterhorn. Fully intend to take one I've seen this weekend as I can't be bothered messing around :) Come October I'll be living here!! Naughty ;)

Skype on the computer is fine, I use it a lot. On the iPhone however is a different story alltogether.

That's some fish!!! I would be well proud of that. Last time I caught anything it was about 14 Greater Weever (in a row) in the Med. Cut the line and chuck 'em back, as they give you a nasty sting!!
