Hey guys! As you may or may not have read in one of my most recent previous post - I was offered an interview in London for a job position as a Ski Representative for a company named Directski.com and I am proud to announce I have only today heard back from them and to offer me a position in AUSTRIA!
The dates will be from December to April.

I've been on a total natural high all day from this news and I simply cannot wait

They will send me more information on training after summer, however details of the position are below;

Responsibilities;
• Representing the company on airport transfers and at ski rental shops and daily hotel visits.• Meeting targets for the sale of ski pack items in-resort.• Preparing, operating and meeting sales targets for après-ski activities.• Completing admin in a timely manner and ensuring that the whole resort operation runs smoothly.• Representing the company in meetings/activities with suppliers, partners and the media.

Benefits;
• Full training prior to season and also training in resort.• Salary €700 per month to be paid into your bank account.• Lift pass and ski/snowboard equipment rental.• Flights and transfers to and from your resort.• Accommodation (possibly shared).• Full winter sports insurance.• A percentage of the profit from all in-resort sales (payable weekly in-resort).• High quality uniform.• 5% Discount for family and friends booking with Directski.com.

I have yet to return an email/phone them back, although I will be doing this tomorrow to accept their offer! :D

Well done! Do a good job, and you will open up future opps. And then maximise your skiing, it is the best chance you will have to get to your highest level.

Is the whole of J2Ski on the move? New jobs, new businesses, a brewery, it's all happening.

2010 is a good year for all of us it seems Dave Mac!

Anyways, minor question to those of you who have done a winter season working abroad - or even to those of you who know about such things..

I am wanting to take my mobile with me, obviously.. Although I phoned my service provider (Orange) and they offer no holiday plans or anything of the sort thus rendering my phone useless abroad for 5 months.

Does anyone know if it'd be a better idea to buy a sim card when I get to Austria and stick with an Austrian network for the time i'm there? It's merely to text back home - nothing else.
Or should I fish around in the UK for a service provider who can offer me a working sim abroad for the period?

Thanks guys! :D

P.S - You may come across a good number of questions from me regarding this experience!

I appreciate all of your help as always!
