Can I jump in on Courchevel? The restaurant/bar on the verdons run, called the chalet des pierres. Beer was 14 euros a pint before tax. We'd ordered so had to drink it. We had a look a look at the a la carte menu just to be nosey......3 luxury sausages and potatoes aereated into pillows with a jus (known to us as bangers and mash with gravy).....131 euros each. I kid you not. Who on Earth buys this stuff? Ah, here come the Russians.......

Good news it got sorted. I ski, and always lock mine up no matter where I am. Some of my group who don't use locks swap a ski, so a pair together is actually 2 different skis. It's a shame it's come to this.

I don't think it's a Brit thing, it seems to me that all nationalities are getting safe. Go to Courchevel and see the blingy crap they have on the helmets there.....and that's for the Ruskies!!!

Hi, there is a run that goes into Meribel village that is floodlit, but whether it's ever open for public use I'm not sure. I've been there 3 times and every year it's been competition only. Sorry I can't help any more.

Hi All
We are off to Tignes in Jan, and whilst there we fancy watching the snow polo in VDI (it starts after the lifts close, so no valuable ski time is lost). Does anyone know if we can get a bus back to Val Claret in the early evening, about 7-8 pm? Cheers, and a Merry Christmas to you all. Steve |
