I wear one for 3 (yes 3!) reasons.

1. I'm in the fire service and have had a fair few incidents where my helmet has helped avoid injury.

2. I find it comfy and a few bangs on the slope have made me not think twice about wearing one.

3. When I ski with my family I think it sets a good example to them, imagine of my Son didn't wear one then got hurt? I couldn't live with myself.

It doesn't give me any false sense of security and I'd feel strange without one, kind of like not wearing a seat belt.

Like a few people have said it is of course personal choice, but I'd say yes every time.

Cheers

Steve

Fantastic to see, so much better than looking at webcams and forecasts praying for good news!!!

The thermals are excellent, well worth the money which in all honesty is great value.

Yes, and very slow spin setting too. Aren't we protective over our jackets!!!!

Done.

Good luck with this but apart from a decent lock or swapping skis so they are not paired together I can't see this as something I'd look at.

It's a real shame, especially for so many to have lost their jobs. Being positive, I am thinking that a lot of planes up for grabs will allow other carriers like jet2 to pick up the gaps, I cannot see the ski/winter market being a bad place to go for, the planes I go on are always full.
So anyone booked their first trip yet?

Hi all

Both trips already booked, 3 valleys in January and Samoens in March. Like all big kids I can't wait, I'm looking at webcams already but I have no shame in doing this.
Best village in 3 valleys?

Hi Luck

When we go to the 3V we stay in Mottaret, just above Meribel. Admittedly it's slightly soulless but it's a simple ski down to Meribel, where there is plenty going on, and an easy bus journey back up every 10 mins through the evening once the cable cars shut.

The good thing about Mottaret is that it's got lifts off to all the different locations in the 3V so makes a great base, and there are plenty of chalets of varying sizes.

If you need any more info, please be in touch.

Good luck in your choosing

Steve
