Many thanks to everyone who has provided information, there is clearly lots to go at and some great suggestions, I really appreciate it.

Have a great 2019 everyone, may the snow be plentiful wherever you're heading.

Val Gardena in January for our annual gents trip. I remember really looking forward to Ally's countdown on here but it stopped a while ago.

I hope she is ok, it used to be fun seeing when people were going and where.

Thanks Daved, we are comfortable on all levels of runs, and agree the all area is a must! I've just been looking at the World cup run which looks great. Much appreciated.

Good morning all

We are off to Val Gardena in January. It's our first time to Italy and so we are newbies to the area. Any advice on best runs, bars, where to avoid etc would be welcome.

Thanks in anticipation

Steve
I agree with the comment from Daved that there should be a braking system that should be over-ridden if the chairs need to go backwards. It's like in lifts, if the cables snap the lift will go nowhere.

I think human error is an unfair blame from the authorities, a diesel generator should have been fired up.....say that failed too?

I'm just glad no severe injuries, it looked very bad.

Jim that's all a bit aggressive on a friendly and free service.

Providing some assistance in getting and/or providing a more up to date report would have been more helpful.

I echo what the Ice and Andy have said, double skinned, and try first. I wear dragon APX which interchangable lenses, very comfy and easy to swap the lenses. I tried them on in the UK then searched round and found a ski shop in Las Vegas (I kid you not) that beat all prices easily, including P&P too.
Good luck in your search.
