Hi all
Can anyone suggest a decent bar or 2 in Val Claret? I'm the youngest at 41, so nothing where the music is deafening please! Good beer, good atmosphere and good laughs are the key things please. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks Steve |

Two of my friends went to to St.Foy for a couple of years, they had never previously put skis on. They loved it for the ease and enjoyment of the surroundings and the slopes they say were perfect for beginners. I did a week in Levi with the family last year and the slopes are beautiful, especially as they are floodlit (this adds to the experience, it doesn't make it harder). Hope this helps, good luck with your choice.

The group I go with has a couple of novices. They really enjoyed the long runs over in La Plagne. I know it means getting an all area pass, but they did think it was worth it. Other than that what most people say on here seems pretty much spot on. Hope it helps. Oh, try skiworld for accomodation.

There's a great guy who runs a hire shops half way up the hairpin bends in Mottaret. He sells his skis pre and post-season, for a good price. Could be worth a visit. Good luck!

I've not done PDS, but I have done 3v 3 times. I love the place, and miss it when I go somewhere else. I'm not into Courchevel, it's ruined by naff cash that is tasteless, but the villages, sheer scope of runs and ability to get around easy make it a fantastic place to visit.

Hi there
I hope this helps......I am wide footed, and a ski instructor advised me to try the Salomon SPK boots for sheer comfort and warmth. I just loved them, and now 2 of my ski pals have the same. Nothing touches them for comfort, so if you are struggling width wise, give these a go. Just like others have said, please don't buy online. |
