   I'm massively also into cycling, and I have this problem all the time in summer..... I hate nothing more than my sky box NOT being able to recognise when something has over run therefore cutting off the end of any sport I happen to tape.... Surely this is an easy fix for sky to put in place........ |

I didn't realise that "sports equipment" ie a pair of skis, or snowboard etc had a separate weight limit with airlines. I thought it was classed as its own separate item irrespective of weight..... Therefore the problem I see with packing your clothes within the same bag is, you could (and assuming your travelling on a budget airline) choose not to pay for a hold bag, but instead pay for the sports equipment getting around the issue of having to pay for 2 bags....
I understand people saying as long as your not over your limit it should be ok in 1 bag, however as far as I'm aware the limit is for hold bags and not S,E. And this is what jet 2 were saying to us last yr even though he had paid for a hold bag but just not used it as it was in 1 bag.... Hope this makes sense, it is in my head I'm just not putting my point across v well... |

When we flew last yr my friend only took his board bag and packed his clothes inside that..... The airline wasn't impressed at all and said they were putting a stop to it....
Would be interesting to hear other people thoughts and stories on this.. |
