Black matt ski helmet. Fit my 7 yr old and my other son when he was 12 yrs. Worn for one week only but too small this year. Selling one of them.
Sensible offers.
and with Swissair you don't pay for carriage of skis!
I agree with all fliers - wish I could too in a way, but lucky them for being able to afford half term flight costs for a family of 4 - or the excess put on by Tour Operators. hehe.
I drove to Les Arcs and didn't use my car once. Didn't need to and it was great. However, in Austria where we now ski it's necessary to get to the gondola and we prefer driving to it, than the ski bus. preference that's all. Another post said about skiing in different areas. A great bonus to have a car, but when you've kids in ski school then it's not so possible to do that.

Interesting that the N roads in France are empty. What are they like ie. size / speed etc.
Europe April - Where to go

keep an eye out nearer the time though on Travelzoo.co.uk. We got a great deal a few years back. you need 1800m or higher really at that time. A few years back we went to Hotel Mainsee in St Christoph, above St Anton. St Anton was slush, but St Chrisoph considerably higher and was fab. Depends on snow of course so a late deal allows you to book according to snow conditions at the time. I'd just wait........ good luck
And when you're there, you don't have to wait for a ski bus (if you're not in a ski in/out resort). We waved to the bus queue each morning - sad...........

snow & rock in Hemel are good so I hear from friends there.
We drive for £500 return. Fly for £1600 for a family of four at half term. We rented an apartment (2 bedroomed) for £400. Whole half term holiday for £2400 all in (inc kids ski school, ski rental, lift passes and meals/spending etc). That's why we drove. I have taken on board the busy times, but as another person said, Belgium, Holland, some Eastern Europe and Germans all need to drive through Germany. I just blogged to give information and warn others. Thanks anyway.
