I think January or March. I like Lynns idea of the group booking for a week and anyone that wants to do otherwise can meet up in resort. |

I love a challenge and this could be of the military operation kind. Am definately up for a J2ski, erm, ski.
What we need, in an ideal world, is a catered chalet that is independent, or would be willing to accommodate us by getting there individually. If we are definately looking at Zermatt (and I think we should stick with that otherwise we'll be here until the next ice age deciding), then we should perhaps hunt down private accommodation so we can all make our own way there. Just noticed that there's a Zermatt thread now so will hop over there. Yay! |

Lovely! Thanks for that, hope to be doing some weekend skiing this winter then :D

Mountain Sun does seem to be the best as far as value for money goes, just having a hunt for weekend accommodation in Chamonix. May have to look up some old friends.... |

Anyone venture to the slopes for a weekend from the UK? I'm feeling the urge to have more than just one ski break this winter and am thinking about a March/April weekend break.
Any recommendations for easiest resorts to get to? (currently thinking Chamonix but will welcome any suggestions) We live an hour or so from Heathrow/Gatwick/Southampton so airports not a problem. |

Funny, I've just got round to putting photos on Facebook from my last ski trip which was Claviere, had a couple of days in Montgenevre, plenty to do there, Claviere has quieter slopes and good for a day out. Snow was good too. Sure you will all find plenty to keep you amused.

I miss it too. I was just looking for a photo of me with taken in Livignio a few years ago with a stupid (it's actually my favourite) hat on, makes me look like a proper cone head. Has a very large pompom on top. I'll keep looking. |

Is it Mountain Sun that do shorter and longer breaks too? Sure I've looked at them before. |
