Excellent replies, thank you very much. I might pop into TKMaxx tomorrow on the off chance there's still some stuff in there, otherwise it's a trip to the local ski shop on arrival.

Organised as always.

Many years ago when I started skiing, there was generally just the one type of ski sock - the tube. Totally impractical for me now, and highly uncomfortable, I've now been wearing the same socks (of which I have only two pairs, and they do get washed daily) for the whole week.

So I'm after some new ones, but I only like the REALLY thin kind, so can anyone recommend a brand/website/handy shop in La Plagne where I might get some?

Only 3 sleeps to go now! Great to read about the conditions, I'm obviously delighted that the snow I ordered arrived this week. So that should bring cold sunny temperatures next week for when we arrive :)

Oh, and the snow looks AMAZING! And it's about -20 at the moment, so I'll be packing extra woolies.
